Prosody Docker

This Docker makes it easy to run the Prosody XMPP server. The installation is executed simply with docker-compose.

Download sources

Clone the Git repository:

mkdir /srv/docker
cd /srv/docker/
git clone https://gitea.devosi.org/mario/PROSODY-docker/.git

Configuration

Add permissions if necessary:

cd /srv/docker/PROSODY-docker
chown -Rv prosody:prosody data/prosody/ # Add permissions for prosody
chmod -Rv 775 data/prosody/ # Add permissions for mod prosody
chmod -Rv 777 data/prosody/storage # Add permissions for mod "http_upload"

Run the server

Install the XMPP server with docker-compose:

docker-compose up

You just have to adapt the configuration of Prosody via the server configuration file:

vim /srv/docker/PROSODY-docker/data/prosody/config/prosody.cfg.lua
